Your Files Never Leave Your Browser
ArmorPDF is designed with a fundamental privacy principle: your files are processed entirely within your web browser. When you use any ArmorPDF tool, your documents are read, processed, and generated using JavaScript running on your device. At no point are your files uploaded to any server, transmitted over the internet, or stored anywhere outside of your browser.
This applies to every tool on our site, including merging, splitting, compressing, rotating, removing pages, reordering pages, adding page numbers, watermarking, converting PDFs to images, creating PDFs from images, and unlocking password-protected PDFs.
No File Uploads
ArmorPDF does not upload your files to any server. There is no server-side file processing infrastructure. Your files remain on your device at all times. When you select a file to process, it is read directly from your device's storage into your browser's memory. When processing is complete, the output file is saved directly from your browser to your device.
No User Data Collection
ArmorPDF does not collect personal information. There are no user accounts, no login forms, no email collection, and no registration requirements. We do not track individual users or build user profiles.
No Cookies Required for Tools
ArmorPDF's PDF tools do not require cookies to function. You can use any tool on this site without accepting any cookies.
Analytics
ArmorPDF uses Google Analytics to understand general usage patterns, such as which tools are most popular and how visitors find the site. Google Analytics uses cookies, which are only set after you accept cookies through the consent banner. If you reject cookies, no analytics data is collected. Analytics data does not include any file contents or individually identifiable information about your documents.
Third-Party Services
ArmorPDF uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. AdSense uses cookies to serve relevant ads. These cookies are only set after you accept cookies through the consent banner. If you reject cookies, no ad-related tracking occurs. Google's privacy policy applies to the data AdSense collects.
ArmorPDF uses Google Fonts to load the Inter typeface. This request is only made after you accept cookies through the consent banner. If you reject cookies, a system font is used instead and no request is made to Google.
ArmorPDF loads open-source JavaScript libraries from content delivery networks (cdnjs and jsDelivr) to provide PDF processing functionality. These CDN requests are standard web requests and do not transmit any of your file data or personal information.
Data Security
Because your files never leave your device, the security of your documents is inherently protected. There is no server to be breached, no cloud storage to be compromised, and no file transmission to be intercepted. The connection to the ArmorPDF website itself is encrypted using HTTPS.
